Backyard Restoration and Garden (Before and After)

Before and after of the backyard restoration and garden. After the tornado came through in March 2007, it ripped up all of the grass and, and we never were able to get grass to grow back due to the shade provided by the sweet gum trees (left in first picture). This caused mass erosion of the backyard.

Well, this week with the sweet gum trees cut down and removed, my family and I installed a dry riverbed to help with water runoff. Then we installed a garden around that. It looks amazing, doesn't it?

I Have Tickets To See Barbra Streisand!

So, Saturday morning at 10 AM, I was on Ticketmaster.com to purchase Barbra Streisand tickets for exclusive concert in Brooklyn on October 11, 2012. Well, everything did not go to plan; I couldn’t get tickets right away. Apparently, there were 1,000 tickets released and 5,000+ fans trying to get their hands on them.

Out of all the people on the fan forums, I know of about 7 people who were able to get a ticket. On Barbra’s Facebook page, 2 people got a ticket out of 400 people that were extremely mad and letting their voices be heard.

I feel like the luckiest bastard on the planet right now. While my seat isn’t exactly front row, it’s still a very good seat, and a better seat than when I saw her in concert in Atlanta during 2006. The American Express sale is going to happen as well soon, and I may be able to get an even better ticket and sell my current one.

I got my hotel and flights already booked and am ready to go! I feel like an exclusive celebrity, and it’s possible there will be many celebrities there and maybe even the Clintons!

Can’t wait for the set list to see which songs she’ll sing. :D *swoon*
